Submissions
Please note that this year’s conference will be online.
We welcome proposals from any discipline for paper presentations and posters. Abstracts should be no more than 250 words and will be published in the Book of Abstracts. Full papers will be published in the Book of Proceedings, which will carry an ISBN.
Topics may include but are not restricted to:
- Clothing and power in the workplace
- Sex, dress and power
- Ceremonial dress
- Dress in political women
- The power of style
- Powerful women and the use of clothing
- Uniforms and the manifestation of power
- Fashion and power
- Politics of the body
We particularly welcome inter/cross-disciplinary submissions that address the conference theme from the perspective of more than one discipline.
All abstracts and papers will be blind peer reviewed. All papers and posters will be included in the Book of Proceedings with an assigned ISBN.

In addition to full papers and posters, we are also inviting contributions from postgraduate (and strong undergraduate) students to take part in a series of Round Table events on the evening (GMT) of 5 May 2021.
